Sonne Steel is a locally owned and operated steel fabrication company that has been doing business since 2005. The founders, Eric Sonne and Ben Tribble both graduated from Speed Scientific School of Engineering at the University of Louisville. Eric has a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Ben has a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering. Together the two bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the building and construction industry. 

 

They began Sonne Steel with the idea of a company that was devoted to manufacturing and installing steel for the residential housing market. Over the last two decades they have grown and expanded into the industrial and commercial steel markets.  Currently 90 percent of their revenue comes from the commercial and industrial divisions.

 

Today, the company encompasses a 36,000 square foot manufacturing facility and provides design, engineering, fabrication, and full erection for both residential and commercial projects. Their team has a combined 150+ years of experience in steel fabrication.  To ensure the highest standard of quality in fabrication Sonne Steel uses Tekla, an industry leading modeling and management software. The Tekla models are uploaded into automated equipment including the Ficep beam line to control the accuracy of production.
